Maybe the thought has crossed your mind:

“Could we actually buy a home?”

Or maybe it’s:

“What could my house sell for right now?”

You may not be ready to buy. You may not be ready to sell. You might not even know whether making a move this year makes sense.

And that’s exactly why we created the DZ Pro Realty 30-Minute Real Estate Consultation.

No pressure. No expectation that you’re ready to sign anything. Just 30 minutes to talk about where you are, what you’re considering, and what your next steps could look like.

You Don't Have to Be "Ready" to Ask Questions

One of the biggest misconceptions about contacting a Realtor is that you should wait until you’re ready to start touring homes or put a sign in your front yard.

In reality, some of the most important decisions happen before any of that.

If you're considering buying, there are questions about budget, financing, down payments, closing costs, neighborhoods, timelines and what you can realistically expect from the process.

If you're considering selling, you'll want to understand your home's potential value, your equity, possible preparation before listing, current competition and what selling could mean for your next move.

A 30-minute conversation gives us an opportunity to help you separate the questions you need answered now from the decisions that can wait until later.

If You're Thinking About Buying...

Today's buyers have a lot to consider.

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, first-time buyers represented just 21% of buyers in its 2025 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers—the lowest share recorded since NAR began collecting this data in 1981. Affordability challenges, limited inventory and the difficulty of saving for a down payment have all contributed to the challenges facing first-time buyers.

But challenging doesn't necessarily mean impossible.

It means having a plan matters.

During your consultation, we can start discussing questions such as:

  • What price range makes sense for you?

  • What should you do before looking at homes?

  • How does the preapproval process work?

  • What expenses should you expect beyond the down payment?

  • What areas might fit your goals and budget?

  • What could your timeline realistically look like?

  • Who are the professionals you'll need along the way?

Mortgage preparation is particularly important. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau recommends comparing mortgage options and obtaining multiple offers because rates, fees, monthly payments and cash-to-close requirements can differ between lenders. The CFPB estimates that borrowers may potentially save $600–$1,200 per year by getting mortgage offers from multiple lenders.

That doesn't mean you need to figure all of this out before talking to us.

That's the point of the conversation.

We can help you understand what comes first, what questions to ask and which professionals may need to become part of your plan.

If You're Thinking About Selling...

Maybe buying isn't your question at all.

Maybe you've owned your home for years and you're wondering:

“Is it worth selling?”

That's a very different question from simply asking, “How much is my house worth?”

According to NAR's 2025 research, the typical seller had owned their home for 11 years before selling. For homeowners who have been in their property for several years, understanding their current position can be an important part of deciding what comes next.

During a 30-minute consultation, we can discuss your property, your goals and the questions that matter before you decide whether to list.

That might include your home's potential market position, comparable properties, improvements you've made, possible preparation before listing, your desired timeline and—perhaps most importantly—where you're going next.

Selling a home isn't just about putting a property on the market. For many families, it's part of a much larger financial and personal decision.

"But I'm Probably Months Away..."

That's okay.

Actually, that can be one of the best times to have the conversation.

Having more time gives you an opportunity to prepare instead of react.

A future buyer may discover that there are financial steps worth working on before beginning a home search. A homeowner may realize there are repairs or projects worth addressing before listing. Someone planning to buy and sell may need to determine which transaction should happen first.

You don't need to know all the answers before scheduling an appointment.

You schedule the appointment so you can start finding the answers.

What Happens During the 30 Minutes?

We start with you.

Tell us what has you thinking about real estate—even if it's simply, “We've been talking about buying a house, but we have no idea where to start.”

We'll talk through your goals, questions, timeline and circumstances. From there, we can help you identify practical next steps and explain what the process could look like.

And if the conclusion is that you're not ready yet?

That's valuable information too.

Our goal isn't to push you into buying or selling before it makes sense. It's to help you understand your options so that when you do make a decision, you're making it with more information and a clearer plan.

Real Estate Questions Shouldn't Require a Commitment

At DZ Pro Realty, education has always been an important part of how we serve our community.

Real estate terminology can be confusing. Financing can feel intimidating. And when English isn't your preferred language, an already complicated process can become even harder to navigate.

That's why our team serves our community in English and Spanish, creating a space where you can ask questions, understand the process and have a conversation about your goals in the language you're most comfortable using.

Comprar o vender una casa comienza con información.

You don't have to have everything figured out before talking to a Realtor.

Your First Step Could Be Just 30 Minutes

If the thought of buying or selling a home has crossed your mind lately, don't feel like you have to immediately make a decision.

Start smaller.

Bring us your questions.

Bring us the “What if?”

Bring us the “Maybe next year.”

Bring us the “I don't even know if we qualify.”

Bring us the “I wonder what our house is worth.”

Give us 30 minutes, and let's figure out what your next step could be.
